Greater than 9 chapters on a menu page

Post by colj »

How do I get 10, or 11 or 12 chapters on 1 menu page? A bit annoying when you have to have 2 menu pages when one would be perfect.
There is a standard (in fact 2) for 9 and a customise layout for 8 but no way that I can find to get more than 9. Why no customise layout option for 9, or more? You may ask, "what is the limit?". I guess, about 25-30, without thumbnail previews, ie. just chapter names/titles. Overall, I think the product is great.

Its basic but you use the customize functions to add your own background and sound etc.

12 button menu.

Thankyou for your quick response.
I have extracted the zipped .ufo file to C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10\Content\Menu Template\4x3\Customize\Scene Selection Layout ( and I also tried a few other places when it kept failing to see if there was a workable place, but no)
The preview for the 12 buttons appears and I can shift it in the selection order by changing the filename, but although the surround goes to green when the mouse is on it, once selected the name does not go to blue like the other layout options and V10 crashes with the send to Microsoft death message.
Do I need another file or line in a file that allows this layout to be used or have I done something foolish?

How difficult is it to create one with 20 buttons?

Keep up the good work.
Regards
Col

Hi

Go to VS 10 Create Disc and create a menu, edit to customise the menu, Add to Menu Template.
(Afaik You need to first create a menu in order that VS 10 creates the Favourites folder)
This will save the template and an ini file in:-

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents\Ulead VideoStudio\10.0\Favorites\4x3\Favorites

Copy the 12buttons.ufo file to this Favourites Folder.

Open the Ini file created earlier and Save As--- using ---- 12buttons_MS.ini as its name.

The template will show in the favourites section

This seems to work but I have not tried customising this template.

Hope this Helps

For installation instructions follow the same procedure as shown in this link:
http://www.ulead.com/download/freegoodi ... mplate.htm

For 20 thumbnails (wouldn't that be a bit much?) then you need to
Create your own with PhotoImpact

Thankyou all, I can now use this, but still have a few problems when customising.
I'll definately call you next time I can't do something.
Keep up the good work.
