Printing a guide

Post by thad »

I'm trying to print this guide http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=13950 by Steve J and it doesn't fit on the page. The right side of the page gets cropped off. Printing in Landscape is a little better, but it still doesn't fit.

Is there a setting somewhere to make it automatically "fit to page?"

Thanks.

From searching the web, it seems that this is a fairly common problem when printing web pages. It was common enough that programs have been written to fit the text to the page.

I ended up copying and pasting what I wanted into MS Word and printing it from there. Some pages came out with a single graphic on them, but it wrapped the text for me. Good enough for now. :D

Use FireFox.
It allows you to adjust the scaling percentage. Try using 70%, as the "Shrink to Page Width" setting does not work too well for this page.

Do note that in the Print Preview page, Internet Explorer Scale settings is for the display scaling only; whereas in FireFox, the scale settings is for the actual print scale.

Thanks nosnoop! I use Firefox at home but am stuck with IE here at work.

I guess this was more of a computer question than a VS question.
