What is the best way to do the following?
I want to take home movies off our camcorder which has a hard drive. I put all the digital files onto my computer. Some are only a few seconds long, some are up to 10 minutes long.
I want to import the files chronologically and burn to a DVD, one DVD at a time as I have enough files to make many DVD's which is my goal anyway.
The problem is I don't know how to figure out how many files can fit on one DVD and can this be done automatically or what is the best way to do this. I want to import just enough files to fit onto one burned DVD then go onto the next set of files.
I can't figure out how to do this. Thanks for any help.

Bryan,
If the video clips are in DVD-compliant format and you don't want to edit them, the quickest path to a DVD is to select each .mpg video file directly into the SHARE/Create Disk module using the ADD Video file button (If the video files have a .VOB file suffix, change it to .mpg). One DVD will be able to contain about one hour's worth of video at 8000Kbps bitrate. Your camcorder may be recording in a lower bitrate, in which case you might be able to put more on a DVD. But don't put more than 4 GB and try to "shrink to fit" because a lot of users have reported problems.

John, where is the SHARE/Create option module? I can't find it.
What I want to do is take the video files (they are .MOD) but import right into the program, and then make a DVD. You are correct I do not want to edit them. Just import them and then burn to DVD in the highest possible quality as I can as we are saving the disks forever.
I can't figure out which program in Ulead 10.0 to use and how to ensure I am not putting in too many files - don't want them compressed, etc.
Thanks for your help.

So, this leaves open the procedural question: Can MOV files be selected in the Burn module? There is a Disk icon that imports DVD-Video or DVD-VR. Does that work with .MOV files? Or will the OP have to Import the MOV files into the timeline and go through an extra rendering step even through he doesn't want to edit?
