Hello!
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Video tracks: 7
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 640 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
Uncompressed
Interleave audio for every 1 frames
PCM, 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
My file is 8:25 long. I've tried to save in multiple formats, but I can't get it below 1.1 GB anymore! The first couple times I rendered it I got it to 384mb. I want to make this video available as a free download on my website, but I can't figure out how to save it so that it would be acceptable! It's making me...CRAZY!
What should I save it as, and what settings should I use?
Thank you VERY much in advance!
Justin
Help this NEWBEE save to video...that isn't 1gb!

How are you going to use the video? That will determine the container format and encoding method that is appropriate.
You can get excellent quality using QuickTime 7 with the H.264 codec and nearly as good quality using Windows Media Video (WMV) or DivX, but those formats can't be used for putting video on a DVD.
Please give us some background information so we can make a recommendation.

"I want to make this video available as a free download on my website"
I want to save it as a file suitable for downloading from my website in a suitable format and I want to turn it into a flash file. I'll use Macromedia to turn it into a flash file, after I get it saved to a suitable file first.
I'm looking for something around 200 to 300 mb in size.
Thanks again!
