Trimming problem

So I bought this software for the sole purpose of being able to do this, so sorry in advance if I seem belligerent.

It's a .wmv file, and I only want about 2 minutes video from it. So I marked it, cropped it, all was going well until I tried to save it when I got the message.

"This AVI file codec ID cannot be trimmed"

Ok no problem, went to convert and realized I had to convert the entire 2 hour video for the 56 seconds I want from it.

Conversion failed, changed all the settings arounded, failed, failed, failed

I'm very upset please help.

Hi Michael,

What program are you using to convert? You might try Super. It's a free conversion program.
