Hello!

I experience shadows in the Mpeg-Video when grabbing PAL VHS on PAL VCR with MovieFactory v3.

It seems to be that when you hit pause you have the picture of the frame that is presented in the counter (ie 0.18.13,12), but also the next frame (here #13), with about 50 % transparency/intensity.

When playing the Mpeg videos, fast movements - here the effect is VERY visible - seem very blurry an not sharp and crisp....

I hab MovieFactory v2 before and have the impression that that didn't happen there. I already tried the setting frame order (I own it in German, there it is called 'Halbbildreihenfolge', which translates to 'half frame order'?!!?), but upper fist or lower first don't help...

Who can help?!??!

It could be a problem with your capture hardware. If your capture device came with capture software, try using it. (When it comes to analog capture, sometimes different hardware & software don't work well together.)

It could be a bad analog connection or a bad cable... Or, maybe the (analog) cable is too long.

Try capturing to AVI/DV instead of MPEG if your capture device can do it. If not, try a higher MPEG bitrate.

Well the hardware is the same. My Terratec Grabster AV 250 came with MF v2. As v4 has more and improved features, I bought it. Ulead even offers a special Grabster AV 250-update for MF v4, which I - of course - installed.

So except of the v4-software nothing has changed.... but the quality dropped.

I made screenshots of the problem. Can you tell me which support email address at Ulead to send those to? I only found forms on their website where you cannot add attachments...
