Hi eggs,

you should better use te Digitize-Features of VS:Select the resp. Codec (REcord-PlugIn) of VS.
Then select the TAB "Aufnahme" (Record?).
Then Select "DVD" or mpeg (Version 2 is the best choice for your project).
Then adjust your Digitzer-Hardware (mpeg format, sampling rate, Input of video and audio and so on).
Start VS's recording feature.

After the recording the movie appears in VS's archive. Make your changings which you wish and after that let generate the DVD.

eggs44 wrote:How do you erase discs? Do you need a special kind or somthing?? I saw it said you can erase discs with this program and when I go to click it is grayed out.
Please try to repair VS (software menu of win).
If this is not possible or fails then install adaptecs ASPI-Driver (v 4.72.xx) and Reboot your system.

Lets start with completing your system information in your profile first because if you can’t do this I’m afraid everything else may be to hard for you too. Click on this link http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=16180 and follow the simple instructions.

I have, I have un and re installed this program lots of times and I have never had it not grayed out, is there another way to erase discs? I only ever saw the option if you go to burn a dvd, it would have the two buttons eases dics(grayed out) and our put disc. Is that the only place you can erase the disc or am I looking in the wrong place.

As far as I know, that is the only place within VS where you can erase an RW disc. However, I use Nero for this -- it has an 'Erase CD/DVD' button in the set of programs under the white cross on a green background.

No. +R or -R discs cannot be erased, only +/-RW discs. The RW stands for 'Re-Writable'...
