strech subtitles...help! :(((

when i edit my subtitles and preview them in the 16:9 window since my movie is 16:9...i get stretched subtitles...stretched letters...horizontally.
the same subtitle is just great in the 4:3 window, but it s a 16:9 that i need...help!

...and another question: in the 4:3 preview window,the first line of the subtitles are with black background...but then i guess it ll not be too good to ad a black border to the letters...only the top line will be ok and the bottom line not...why not a good complete subtitle help topic with this software

(( with tips ... am i supose to know those details that could spoil the all movie?

WS2 supports 16:9 only as pass-through. Menus, s/ts etc. are not really directly supported. Have you tried the Arial Narrow typeface, to partially compensate?

it took me 1 entire week to learn how 2 use that program...and i read that 16:9 is not really supported???
Adobe encore just doesn t work on my computer...at least the try out so i can t tell if it ll do it with the full version...Sony dvd archiect has no decent subtitle editing tool... ok what s next to author my dvd? i am in it since 15 days getting nuts

Don't forget WS2 is OLD. Its main development was finished >3 years ago and true 16:9 cameras hardly existed then (widescreen was obtained only by letterboxing 4:3). If you search this board, you will find many threads covering workarounds for 16:9 menus etc.

Many users have been chuntering about a more modern version for ages, http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=12442 but our pleas fall, apparently, on deaf ears.
