Audio ends 47 minutes into the movie

Post by Hoffe »

Hi,

I have a project built of a SVCD rip, I've subtitled this Swedish movie to English to give to an English speaking friend of mine's kids, their birthday is this weekend and I'm in a bit of a rush. :)

When I preview the project in Finish mode everything works just fine, but when I play the burned DVD in my DVD player the audio track suddenly stops 47 minutes into the movie. It's prefectly in sync up until then, it just dissapears. I've tried reburning it and also making a DVD ISO out of the project, same thing happens there.

Properties of the source file:
VIDEO
Compression: DivX 5.05 Codec
Attributes: 16 Bits, 480x270
Total frames: 180 563 frames
AUDIO
Compression: MPEG Layer-3
Attributes: 131kBit/s, 44,100 Hz, Stereo
Total samples: 118 984 320 Samples

If anyone have an idea of what is causing this, and could help me solve the problem it would be very appreciated, thank you!

DivX = TROUBLE!
MPEG Layer-3 (MP3) = TROUBLE!

You may have better luck if you convert the video to MPEG-2 (or AVI/DV (not AVI/DivX) and the audio to LPCM before importing them into Workshop.

SUPER (Free!!!) can convert the video to MPEG-2, and it can convert the audio to MPEG-2 or maybe AC3, but it can't make LPCM audio.

Or, you should be able to find a conversion program on one of the DivX sites.
