greyed out

I cannot apply most of the thumb nails in the Easy Pallette as the button is greyed out. I have just upgraded to 3.5.

Any clues anyone?

The apply button in the easy pallette to apply the presets.

You have to create an object in the project window in order to apply an effect to it. Have you done that? The only way I can get 'apply' to grey out is to try to use it in an empty project.

I tried selecting an object and it still didn't work but since then I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it now works.
