More Info
Sorry, I left out the important stuff:
1) Window XP, 1.2 Ghtz, 512 Ram
2) Movie version 3 SE. Came with WintV PVR USB2. Loaded properly and able to capture and modify the movie.
3) I went to the WEB site download and ran the Update pack Build ID pack ID 300p01. It loaded.
4) I also download the DL support pack and tried to run. However, when I ran the first file, it stated that moviefactory 3 was not found. So it would not run.
5) Have two burners. DVD-NEC and a CD RW-Memorex. I believe no problem with the burners since I was able to do a direct to CD recording. Just did about two minutes to see if this function worked. It did.
6) I believe the response for five addresses this.
Let me explain what I did.
1) Capture a 1:53 hr movie in LP mode.
2) Edit the movie with chapters, still and music.
3) Previewed and all is good.
4) Went to output, set to burn on DVD. Program starts to runs but then I get the error message during the process.
5) I then did the output to DVD folders, same error message.
6) Then tried the Create image file, and same error message.
Thanks for the help.

menu music?
what types of audio files are you using? .mp3, .wav, .mpa, .other?
If using .mp3's, try converting them to .wav first.
I would create a new very small project, and just burn the DVD Folders (no menu music). If that works, you can add in the menu music. The idea is to take baby steps just to make sure everything is working fine.
Also, make sure you use the same type of audio for all your assets, and they should be 48khz for a DVD.

GeorgeW,
1) Using a MP3 file as background music for the main menu and chapter menu.
2) I will try coverting the MP3 to wave and then see if it burns to a folder.
3) If 2 works, then I should be able to burn to DVD, right.
4) If 2 does not work, I will remove music and then see if it burns to a folder.
5) If 4 work, how do i add music to the folder items. Would i go to MF3 and perform the edit disc icon. I would then get the info from the folder area.
thanks for the help.

XP SP2 causing problems?
All,
Got the program to work. What I did was repaired window XP. I had XP SP2 loaded. I repaired with XP pro SP1. Bang, the program ran with no problems.
I had the same issue with sonic myDVD 6 deluxe. Would not run the program. Repair windows with SP1 and bang. Worked perfect. Burn my first DVD last night. Sweet.
