Change the PI Splash Screen

Post by keenart »

Tired of the PI Splash Screen, have a little fun, create your OWN Splash Screen.

Search for the file named SplashScreen.bmp in the Ulead Folder, should be about 165K in size. Make a copy of the file, and rename the old file SplashScreen.OLD or BAK.

Open your copy of SplashScreen.bmp and have at it. The original file is in 256 colors. If you create a True Color image, when finished, change data type to 256 colors before saving. Keep the file size a small as possible, otherwise it might take a long time to load.

I got my favorite cat on mine. Okay, so I am sentimental.

How come? Right click on any shortcut for it, >Properties, and in "Target" where it says
"C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 10 ESD\Iedit.exe"
add a ' /n' after the quotation marks, like this:"C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 10 ESD\Iedit.exe" /n

That should do it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Talked to Tech about the problem and they gave me the same switches and several different alternatives but no go. PI will not shut down the Splash Screen. However, it works for the Album. Go figure! I tried to rename the Splash Screen and get an error. So, I just altered the picture and made it MY PI Splash Screen.
