videostudio trial version crashing

can someone please help. I am interested in buying VS10+ and so far I like the trial program and intend to buy it. However I have a problem it keeps crashing, the program suddenly stops and closes down. sometimes when I start it back up it asks me if I want to recover the file. I have already tried to close the antivirus software and it still crashed after I had been using it for over an hour. Is my system up to the job? Any suggestions? Thanks
