Hi everyone. Bit of a newb here having a couple of issues. Background first...MovieFactory 3.0 SE (bundled with ADS Tech DVD Xpress)...DVD-R media...JVC DVD player (6yr old).
I created a project with slideshows and video with no problems. Previews fine. Burned fine too. Went to play it on the DVD player - for playback on the TV - and the menu came up fine. Motion previews, music playing...looks great...until I select a chapter. I can't seem to move on past that. I loaded the burned disc onto the computers DVD drive and tried to play it there...it won't bring it up at all!!
Sooooo, I changed the burn speed to 4X and retried. Same thing. After doing some online research I tried to install the service patch (Build ID: 300P01, Release Date: 2004/06/03). Rebooted. Now I cannot get past the opening menu on MovieFactory! Reinstall should fix that though.
Any ideas folks? Appreciate the help!

I remember in the 300P01 patch Ulead has added some DVD player control commands for menu (so you can use the num pad on remote control to jump to the chapter you want).
Have you tried to install the CD/DVD Engine Update Pack in http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm ?
If those do not help, you might need to reinstall DVDMF 3 to see if it will restore the compatibility.

Good stuff! That patch worked and now I can get beyond the main menu - motion previews work too. But like the song says, one thing leads to another (nod to The Fixx). Now the video I captured from my JVC Camcorder plays with no audio... 
The audio is available when I preview my work but is lost after burned on the DVD.
