copyright character - how do I add it?
How do I add the © character to the text my the titles section?
Use the ascii
I presume you mean this © (it worked!), I'll do again just for fun ©.
In brief.
Make sure your "Num Lock" light is on. If not, press the "Num Lock" key.
Then hold down the ALT key, and while doing that, type these numbers on the numeric pad.
0 1 6 9
In detail.
Computers don't understand alpha letters at all, everything is numbers. Grace Hopper's great breakthrough of the early 1950's is now called "ascii" (with variations like "ansi" or "unicode"), but basically
"A" is actually 0065, "B" is 0066 etc with the common keyboard characters going up to 0127. 0129 to 0255 are used for various symbols like ©. Some other useful ones are:
ø (ALT + 0248)
¿ (ALT + 0191)
½ (ALT + 0189 - nearby numbers do other fractions eg ¼ = 0188)
² (ALT + 0178) - mathematical squared sign eg E = mc²
These may look different when displayed in your browser, there are several alternative symbol sets for 129 to 255 depending eg on your language settings. But try these in the Ulead titler and they may go well for you. If you get odd results try setting your computer to "English United States"

THoff
You can always use the Character Map utility (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools) to view a list of characters and special symbols that are available in any given font. Selecting the character using the mouse shows the key combination (if any) is used to access it, and you can also copy-and-paste from there and bypass the key combination.

You can also use anyone of the above in an Image Editing app like PhotoImpact or one of your liking. Create a png, tga, or gif image of it. Then you can insert it to a video track and have it display as long or short as you like. Just like the irritating Disney © logo on TV..
