HI!
I recently downloaded the trial versio of DVD MF 5... I really liked this product! But it has a strange behavior...
When I import all my WMV files (I only have WMV) to MF5, the preview shows me all correct, but after it has compressed the video and burned it on the DVD, all videos doesnt play continously... They freezes every second until the end of the movie...
What kann this be?
My WMV have 128 audio and 1200kbps video stream...
Best regards,
Bohne78

Re: WMV to DVD - strange behavior
There will be some reasons to make this happen.bohne78 wrote:HI!

1. Check the project settings in DVDMF, which you can find by clicking on the bottom left Gear button and then check the Video Data Rate setting in the Project Settings dialog. If VDR is higher than 7000kbps then it's possible some old DVD players will not play properly because they do not have enough power to play a DVD in such a high bitrate. If this is the case, lower the data rate to some value below 7000kbps.
2. If you have burned the disk at a speed higher than 4X, lower the speed to 4X or lower. Higher burning speed might cause disk compatibility with players.
3. Check the DVD player compatibility list at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and the DVD writers list at http://www.vidoehelp.com/dvdwriters to know what disk media is compatible with your burner/player. Some disk might not be compatible with the burner/player to cause the problem.
Try them and see if they can fix the problem. If not then post up what you did in the DMF project and I think some other people might be able to help.

Hi Dreamworks,Dreamworks wrote:i know the problem sir,ULEAD SUCKSS do not buy ulead products ,It's a waste of your money.. ulead products has a lots of problems converting the format wmv divx xvid , it only likes simple **** like mpeg1 mpeg2
I can understand how you are dissapointed to get some bad experiences with your first impressions with DVDMF. If you can post up what you did and the source files you use in DVDMF to cause the issues I think people can help you to solve those problems.
For XviD video files, it's related with how the codec is been implemented by the XviD team who is at http://www.xvid.org . XviD codec is not very stable and need to be fine tuned by their team. Maybe you can contact them for help.
For WMV and DivX video files, they should be supported in DVDMF. But before you can use DivX in DVDMF, you must download the DivX codec from http://www.divx.com first.
WMV/DivX/XviD are not just as simple as MPEG-1/2 and they are been considered as MPEG-4 codec packs. If you are willing to let us know what the situation you've got, I think we should be able to solve your issues step by step.
Just my 2 cents, and thanks for reading my post so patiently.
