Sound Problem discovered upon playing final DVD

I finished burning a few family videos to DVD and noticed that when I play them on the DVD player, sound only comes out of one speaker. Anyone have an idea how I might correct this?

Some background: I am capturing via ADS DVD DX2 that has both right and left inputs. My vcr only has one audio output that i used a 'y' connector to put into both captur card inputs, figureing the same sound would be captured for both sides. I create my project and burn the DVD using all standard default options.

I'm new to this and would appreciate any input.

Sounds like either your splitter isn't connected tightly or the capture device's audio is set to MONO.
