I am under the impression that I can create a disk in the above format and then later edit the disk (add more video titles) whilst retaining the previous title and chapter information. It appears that this can also be done on the disk rather than saving the information back to the hard drive. A great way of incrementally adding video titles until the disk is full.
I am having difficulty using this feature. I can create a disk in this format.
However, I cannot work out how to do future editing on this data.
Using the 'Import DVD/DVD-VR' function from the <Share> menu in the Create Disk dialogue imports the video file but looses the title names and any chapter menu information and menu template used. The disk is confirmed as 'Format: DVD Video (re-editable) in the 'Import DVD' dialogue.
Accessing the same screen from the <Capture> menu has the same results.
Have I mis-understood this function?
Can someone give me a more complete explanation of what this feature can do or a step-by-step instruction on how to do what I am trying to accomplish.
The documentation advises;
"Notes on how to choose an appropriate recording format:
· Ulead VideoStudio provides an option, DVD-Video (fast editable), that allows you to still use the industrial standard DVD-Video format, however, it will only burn the necessary files you need so you can edit your video content (e.g. menus) in the future. This option saves time in copying files and hard drive space when you edit the contents of your disc again but may result in your disc not being compatible with some DVD players. "

Thanks for your reply maddrummer I didn't know the 'DVDvr.exe' program existed. I had a look at it. When loading the disk the Playlist is greyed out and there are no titles shown. So this doesn't allow me to add new material.
The disk is readable as the titles can be imported using the main program.
I just can't find in the documentation or on the web how to re-edit the content?
