Blurry videos produced by Videostudio

Post by Starcraftmazter »

Sup.

At school here, our class has a project.
Basically, we need to make a tutorial on something computer related.

The procedure for this is, record some on-screen videos using Camtasia recorder, record voice, and put the two together to make a tutorial using Videostudio.

When people do this, and export (as .avi and .mp4, I don't think it makes a difference), the video looks very blurry, to such an extent, that the text looks a bit like Hebrew.

We have version 9 of Videostudio installed at school, however I've...well not me, but a friend of mine tried it on version 10, with the same problem.

I'm sure it's just some setting or something, but we've played around with all the settings we could find with no luck.

I hope the description of the problem is good enough.

Thanks for the help guys ;)

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the Camtasia product, but your problem is going to be related to the field order that is being rendered. What is Camtasia's screen recording codec? What are the properties of your file? As I think Camtasia is a web based application, it probably uses one of these: Macromedia Flash (SWF and FLV), AVI, WMV, QuickTime (MOV), RealMedia (RM). Therefore, within Video Studio, use the 'same as project properties' setting for the render so that you keep all the file properties identical.

Thanks for your assistance.

Camtasia is not a web based application, it's a client based application.
It's simple to use, just tell it the area in which to record, and it will record everything on the screen.

It exports the video in .avi format, and it's videos look normal - as they should.

Now this setting you speak of, could you give more detailed instructions, as to where in Videostudio it is located?

Thanks.

When you go to Share.....Create Video File.....select the option that says 'Same As Project Properties' and then render your file.
