When I hit the Border/Shadow/Transparency Button when making a title in VS 9 I get the "Ulead Video Studio 9 needs to close" message.
The error message contains a reference to Mod Name mfc42.dll along with a bunch of code.
My system is set up following all the recommendations outlined in this forum and everything else in the program works fine.
Any help/clues would be appreciated.

Have reinstalled the mfc42.dll from SP2 and the problem continues.
Would add that the version number contained in the error message data is the same in both the pre and post repair cases and according to the Microsoft data base is the latest version.
The only other thing that I can add is that it appears the error has something to do with Code 0xc0000005 and after looking this up on the Microsoft site cannot find a specific example of the problem - mind you it would appear that there a a lot of problems and mine could be hidden in the detail of another.
There are quite a few programs that utilize this dll and the other ones I have been able to identify on my system are all working fine.
Thanks for the help to date

Hi Twang, I think I may have misdirected your attention onto Windows being the problem in my first post.
What I meant was that when VS installs it works out where that dll file is and registers its location. By doing the repair/reinstall step on Vdeo Studio, not Windows, the dll may be re-located by VS and all may be well.
Some other process or program may have caused VS to lose the dll even though it is still on the system.
That is why I suggested the repair/reinsatll of VS option. If you have, in fact, done that then I am afraid we need to wait for someone a little higher up the "forum help" food chain!
