Can I get video from the finished DVD?

Post by hagadorn »

I recently deleted the MPEG file I created in the "create video file" phase of a previous project, but now I'd to re-use some video from it - can I get the footage from the DVD I created? I don't know anything about the VOB or VOC files on a DVD. :? Thanks.

Which version of VideoStudio do you have? In the latest versions, you can go to the Capture step, then use the Import from DVD option -- it will import the mpeg videos into your capture folder...

Yes

Place the Dvd in your disc drive.

Select –File-insert media to timeline—insert dvd / dvd/vr—select import

Eventually you will be presented with the Import Dvd window

Select each title button until all are selected.

Press import

The files will be saved to your working folder.
You should create a new working folder for these.
A clip will be placed in the timeline.

Each time I've imported media from a previous project I've completed, I kept getting OOS issues when I rendered & burned a new project.

I'm in the Import DVD window and I've selected a chapter, but it won't let me import because the Import and Stop Import buttons are greyed out.

Oops, never mind - I didn't check the little box to the left of the title. It's working now.
