Color Calibration and other menue items greyed out on MSP7VE

Post by dazzler »

Hi,
I want to color calibrate incoming video from a vhs tape on a vcr prior to capture using MSP7, but most menu items are greyed out and I can't access the color calibrator vectorscope. Any ideas why this is happening?

What are the prerequisites for the vectorscope to be accessible and useable?

Also,

How do I access Video Paint? There is no menu item for it that I've found....same for CG Infinity.

I installed the full MSP7VE from a magazine coverdisk.

ACER ASPIRE E360 with XP Pro Windows Media Centre 3800+ with 1 GB ram, 250 GB HD and ATI All-in-Wonder PCI Express 2006 .... all brand new.

Thanks for any help you can give.

"VE" editions have features disabled (or not available). VP and CGI are two modules that were excluded from those scaled-down versions.

I'm not sure about the color calibration option -- maybe someone knows whether it is enabled in the VE edition...

Hi,
Thanks for the info, George. Sorry for the late reply...I've been away for awhile. I did see and use the vectorscope for a short while but don't know why I can't see it again.
