hi hope someone can help here every time i try to capture video from my camcorder to VS10+ i keep getting the message,(unable to switch to capture mode check if your capture driver is working properly failed to build a preview graph)
camcorder is connected via firewire
dell dimension 2400
intel 4 cpu 2.80 ghz
graphics card geforce nvidia fx 5200
70 gb hard drive
640 mb ram
windows xp home service pk2

Have you managed to capture via firewire in the past?
If you have, then have you changed anything, installed a new program etc?
When you switch the camera on, does your pc recognise the camera.
Is your camera listed in the ‘Source’ box'?
Have you tried updating your IEEE 1394 driver. Via your device manager
Uninstall and reinstall this driver.
This question has been posted many times, Do a search on the forum for more info.
Others on the forum may have further advice.
