Well i've tried to put it on my video file in the timeline and it doesn't seem to playback.... maybe i should burn it and see if it works that way?

Does yours playback? can you tell me how you put it in the timeline pls.

Thanks

Hi
sorry for delay in reply, but being 12 hour apart doesn't help.

I used a gif from the Animation collection Personal Edition.
Tag II The Join Now (red and green)

Saved to my hard drive.

Inserted to timeline as a normal video clip using the ‘insert media files to timeline folder’ lower left icon

The clip was stretched by VS to fit screen, quality was bad. Its only 80 x 60 pixels

I dragged the clip to the overlay track to reduce the size.

The animation is very basic but it did play as shown on the web site.
I rendered to Dv-Avi
Used this file and added another animation, used Chroma Key to remove white background
Rendered again.

The quality was poor but with the gif size that’s to be expected.
Repeated the process to have three animations within the same file.

I do not have VS 8 installed, so I cannot comment whether it is supported. I was using VS 9

Since I still have VS8 installed, I ran a quick test. I used my sig, which is an animated GIF created in GIF Animator 5. VS8 does allow animated gifs, and plays them.

Treavor stated the important key insert as video. If you try to insert as an image then VS will only use it as a Still image.

Hi Trevor,
The only reason I keep VS8 and now 9 installed is for reference to help out here. Otherwise I would uninstall both, and be using VS10 + and MSP8 only..:)
