Slideshows in VS10+

Is it possible to put in slideshows to DVD's or is Moviefactory required?

Yes of course you can put in slideshows with VideoStudio.
The easiest way for a newbie is to use the Movie Wizard - shown in the centre of this screen:

When you get a bit more used to the program then use the VideoEditor.

Thanks, so in the editor I must use the timeline and in the wizard I can insert a slideshow like in Moviefactory, is that correct?
