Help Please - Need to get rid of last loaded library media

Post by JamieT »

Hi folks,

Hope someone can help me here. I tried to import an unusual video clip format into the library and it crashed the program. Now each time I start VS 9, it tries to load the same file (appears in the library on the right) but VS crashes and has to shut down.

I re-installed VS hoping the last loaded library etc would reset back to default but it (even after full uninstall) has retained the last loaded library somehow.

Can anyone suggest a way of clearing/deleting the last loaded library details etc.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers Jamie

P.S. The video clip I tried to import btw was a quicktime clip ie .mov

Hi James

Rename this file VS_Video.dat to VS_Video copy.dat file in:-

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\9.0

Reboot Video Studio 9
the program should recreate a default video library, by creating a new VS-Video.dat file

If you have reverted back to the default library.

Delete VS_Video copy.dat

Thanks guys for all your advice.

Trevor's post ended up doing the job. Although at first I couldn't find the particular file in question. It was only when reading the other sticky that I realised I had to enable 'show hidden system files' etc before I could see/locate it. Renamed as advised an presto VS9 cranks up again.

Great stuff guys - tks

Cheers
