Boris fx

Post by girly »

I have installed Boris Factory into VS10 but why does it say Burger in the list of transitions. Are they the same?

Thanks
Trevor Andrew

I think Boris FX shows in the Video Filter library.

It appears as one filter with mutiple choices, i think.

Boris Factory shows at the bottom of the Transitions F/X folder.

'Burger' is a freeware collection of transitions by Stefan Burger;

Stefan also gives away the FXBench viveo filter tool, which is very worthwhile.

Hi

I downloaded it from ULead.

I do have the freeware Burger transitions but I uninstalled them as I thought it would conflict with Boris but now when I installed Boris factory the Burger transitions are there - I don't understand what's happened.

I have now received this message from Boris support

Unfortunately, Factory is an old program that is no longer supported,
and Ulead Video Studio is not a supported host.

I cannot contact ULead support as I cannot register the program. Any solutions please?

There are no transitions called Factory in the folder, only Burger which I have uninstalled.

Hi,

I've also installed both - boris fx and burger transitions, and there are no conflicts between them and I use VS10+

Please look in your folder "vfx_plug" if there are Factory.VFX and Factory.hlp (from boris fx). I would do a search on the harddrive and if you find the files move them manually to the folder "vfx_plug".

I have Boris Factory installed in
MediaStudio 7
MediaStudio 8
VideoStudio 9
VideoStudio 10+

I also have Burger Transitions installed in each and every one of the above named programs. They do not conflict.

Boris FX is found in the Transitions FX folder. It is a single thumbnail.
Add this single thumbnail to your video clip and select customize. This then enables you to choose 100 different transtitions.
