WTD: Information on transferring audio tape to CD

Post by Jabroni4872 »

I was wondering if it is possible to capture just audio and transfer it to CD.?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

In UVS you cannot just capture audio, do you mean you have a video with a soundtrack that you want to record to CD, If so you can capture the video in UVS - split video and audio then export the audio as a wave file which you can then import into a CD burning package and burn to CD, but if you just want to capture audio from a record or tape and burn that to CD there are much better packages than VideoStudio to do that.

You are correct, I have audio tapes and I want to convert them to mP3's and put them on CD's.

Do you have names of some particular programs? Thanks for the info.
I personnally use a programme called "Magix Audio Cleaning Lab" info at http:/www.Magix.com - but there are propably several other free programmes around you could use - no doubt some other users will have some suggestions - I just find that many of the 'free' ones are not as free as they seem.

I use CDex, a freeware program that works very well. Check it out at http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/downloads.php
