MovieFactory5 always wants to recode the movies

Post by data68 »

Hi,

I'm trying MovieFactory 5 and have one problem, that I didn't have with version 2 (german).

When I import demultiplexed movies (MPV+MPA), the program always wants to recode the movie. When only using the MPV part, this problem doesn't exist.

I've checked the box that says "Do Not Convert Compliant MPEG files" and I'm sure they are compliant.
Here the details (translated from german version):

MPEG-Files
24 Bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 224 kbps
MPEG-Audio level 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

Can somebody tell me how the get the same results as with version 1?

Is your project PAL or NTSC :?:

Also, did you do any editing of your source videos :?:

Try a small test project without motion menus or menu transitions turned on.

Yes. Source is a TS stream, demultiplexed with "ProjectX" and cutted with "Cuttermaran".

Did it, but nothing changed. :(

I noticed that with MF5 and not MF3 and to make it worse - the projects are larger in size than the originals! An that is going from PCM to AC3. What a waste of $$$$$ I am back on MF3 til thaey can make a decent ?upgrade?
