Ulead is looking for a good laugh. Whether it's an itty-bitty titter or a great big guffaw, if you've got an original video that goes straight for the funny bone, get ready to submit it to the Ulead VideoStudio Comedy Video Contest.

Note: Video clips must be received by 11:59PM PST on September 15, 2006

How to Enter

Set up a free account with Ulead contest page powered by DropShots.com. (If you already have an account, no need to set up another)
Upload your video to the page: http://ulead.dropshots.com/upload.php. You can choose to upload via DropBox or normal web upload. Remember the length of your video must be less than 2 mins. Format is not important, DropShots does the encoding on-the-fly.
After upload is finished, go back to http://ulead.dropshots.com/ to see how your video looks on the contest page. You may enter a title for your video, watch others� comments and even post your video to your own weblog.
To be fair, only videos produced with Ulead VideoStudio will be allowed. Winners will be asked to submit their .VSP (VideoStudio project file) file for final verification.
Remember that video clips must be received by 11:59PM PST on September 15, 2006.

When are the winners announced and where, the site states that winners will be announced on the 1st Oct 2006 but nothing has been updated on the dropshots or ulead site.

I'm dying to find out who won as some of the videos are really good and its goona be tough to pick a winner. Some are so bad they need to be deleted immediately! I have put it down to 3 really good ones!

C'mon, tell us who won!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I too would like to discover the winners. At the end of the page, they note that the winners will be announced on October 1st, adds us 2, and always nothing. What are your favorite videos?

It is normal practice for Ulead to notify the winners first.
If nothing is published in a weeks time I will ask Ulead to reveal the result.

Ah well, that means I have not won! Damn it, I thought I did pretty good. have to try harder next time.

Cant wait to see who wins though, there was some great videos made, some very clever editing and brilliant ideas. I got a few ideas myself just from watching them.

Yeah, of course everybody likes their own video but what other videos do you like. I did really like yours but I think it would have been better to make one video instead of different parts. Part 4 was really good!

Yes, you are right, 4 parts(parties) is maybe too much. But to make it the video only one of 2 minutes would have been too short. And I am ok with you, the 4th part is excellent, with the troop of small paper man!! Otherwise, I find the video " The Six Million Dollar Boy " is very well made. And very fun !! Bye Bye

I'm quite interested in seeing who wins as well. I'd say the best one of all the ones i saw was "the game". there were some other pretty good ones like the paper man, but im interested to see if the guy who made "the game" won cuz that one's very original and funny.

Yeah, the game is good but its not very funny, the whole point of the competition was to make a funny video.
