Adding extra content?

Post by dax702 »

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to add extra content with DVD Workshop,e.g. a folder with a PDF for the customer to be able to print. If DVD Workshop doesn't directly support this feature, can I still author the disc with that program and use something else to add the folder, is there some special format it has to follow, or can I just manually add another folder to the disc?

Burn the DVD to a hard drive folder.
Add the extra content to that folder.
Use your favourite burning software to make as many copies as required.

Do you mean put the extra content in the root folder of the DVD? It doesn't have to go in a sub-folder of the root?

When you burn the DVD Image to your hard drive (create disc image file), you have an option of adding an extra folder -- under the Advanced Settings tab -- Include extra folder to disc...

If you've got a commercial DVD that offers to install InterActual DVD player when you place it in your computers DVD drive, view the DVD structure with Windows Explorer.

All you need do is follow the same method. You can even include your own
"Autorun.inf" file suitably modified.

As George has pointed out you can include a project folder when you burn the DVD. You have more than one choice of achieving your aim.

Include Extra Folder To Disc

You can directly burn your DVD with the extra folder that you add in the advanced settings in the "finish" step.
