Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum, I have received a dvd camcorder as a present which doesn't have a dv out connection, so I am looking for a programme that allows me to remove the 8cm disc from the camcorder for editing in my pc as I say I am new to all this so don't know if this is possible or not.
Any advise will be very welcome
Thank you.
Help please

Welcome to our forum and we hope you enjoy your new hobby of editing and producing your own videos. Without a DV out connection you will need to place the DVD into your computers DVD drive and then import the DVD into Video/Studio.
The procedure is here:
Importing DVD Files.
We have a fairly extensive Tutorials section. Video Studio Users will find the following the most useful:
Video Product Tutorials Combination (if you have more than 1 Ulead Product)
General Information This includes a Frequently asked questions, Third Party Tutorials links and also links to Free stuff.
In addition it is worth looking at the tutorials for Movie Factory
DVD Product Tutorials because most of the procedures for Movie Factory also apply to VideoStudio.

Hi Steve,
Thankyou very much for your reply and the various links, I will try these asap. At the moment I have a problem installing the download trial version of videostudio, as soon as it tries to install, up pops a box asking for disc 1 to be inserted. have emailed Ulead and am still waiting for a reply from them as soon as I do i can try the programme prior to purchase. Thanks
Roy

Grrrrrr... You may not get a reply. As far as I know, you don't get technical support with the trial versions.have emailed Ulead and am still waiting for a reply
Some trial installation problems seem to be caused by the extra anti-piracy junk in the trial program. So, you might not have this problem with the purchased version. But, I'm NOT recommending that you buy the program if the trial fails!
The Video Studio & Movie Factory are the best "DVD Import" programs that I've tried... when they work. Apparently, they can't import some DVDs... It is becoming one of the most common problems reported in the forums. So, you need to confirm it works with DVDs from you camcorder before you purchase!
