You can!
Start a new project, set your project properties and ‘save as’ giving it a unique name (my template)
When capturing anything other than DV, you can use the ‘options cogwheel’ to select the capture properties.
Under the ‘advanced’ button you can select a template.
One template is ‘Project Template Value’
This will select the properties of the project to use for capture.
I capture to DV via firewire, my project properties are set to the cameras software (Dv-Avi) by using the ‘Show messages when inserting first………..’
I edit with my project as Dv-Avi
I then Share Create Video File using a template created in Make movie manager.
This Video file being used to burn a dvd.
