Hello
I enjoy re-editing Hollywood made DVDs. I rip the 5.1 audio from movies, turning them into PCM Wav files and then importing them into the VS10+ editor. After editing, I then create my disk using the 5.1 mixer. My home theater receiver reads it as 5.1 but during playback it plays the dialogue in the rear speakers, as well as the front. This bothers me. True DD surround should not have dialouge in the rear speakers and it sounds very odd and echo like. Is there something else I should be doing when I create the DVD? I always choose 3/2 Dolby Digital before burning. Maybe I am ripping the audio incorrectly? I am converting the audio into Wav file so I do not get the crackling sound that music plays back on reedited MPEG.
Thanks.
