Hi
I've heard you can have dual core rendering in MovieFactory 5, but is it possible to have this in VideoStudio 10 Plus?
Cheers

You might want to use the search button because here is another thread on the issue:

I have a dual core processor (see my system specs) and I was unable to find any evidence at all that VS 10 (trial) uses both cores. There is some indications in the thread that under certain conditions - which are pretty well unknown/uncertain at the moment - VS 10 does use both cores, but nobody was able to firm up this opinion - or at least define under what conditions it decides to take advantage of the second core.
So to the best of my knowledge, ULead's claim in this aspect may just be wishful thinking.
Presumably, now that dual core's are becoming more prevalent then editing software will become better at using both cores - but at the moment I wouldn't change my processor configuration until I was more assured that the hoped for performance boost is really available.

Peter
