Capture problems with hauppauge a VS10+

I get this message when I try to capture from my VCR or TV connection...unable to switch to capture mode...check if your video capture driver is working properly..failed to build a previous graph...I'm using Win Live TV by Hauppauge ...I've tried everything I can think of...it use to work fine....I get the message and it captures but it does a terrible job of it...do I need to call Hauppauge or what? Please help someone...thanks

The Hauppauge TV card does not currently work with VS10+
I know it seems strange because it works with VS9.

My suggestion is to use WinTV2000 for your capture and then import the MPEG file into VideoStudio.

Thank you....I still have a VS 9 on my machine ...would it be a problem if I captured in vs 9 and dumped the file into vs 10...I'm not ready to do high definition anyway...any advantage to capturing in V10 that I am not aware of?

Hi

There should be no problem inserting the files to VS 10 that were captured using 9.

You should also be able to open the VS 9 project files using 10. But not the other way round.
