USB vs. Firewire

Will I get as good results using the USB connection that came with my camcorder, or do I need to upgrade the connection to Fierwire for VS10?

What make/model is your camcorder

If they supply the drivers/software to successfully transfer dv .avi via USB2, then you should be able to continue to use that connection (although most folks transfer dv .avi via firewire).

I'm not sure if the dv-to-mpeg capture will be available using that sort of transfer protocol.
