Ok, I figured it out for VS 9, but how about VS 10?
I only recorded on my left audio channel and want sound out of both left and right. Where is the duplicate audio channel in VS 10?
Also, can I duplicate the left to the right while the audio is still embedded in the video track - or do I need to split the audio from the video and take care of the duplicating business in the audio track?
Also, one other question: When I want to raise the output (volume) of the audio in the audio track I have been opening audio preferences and that gives me a bluish "midline" through the clip representing the output level. When I click on the line it leaves a little box that lets me adjust it - the problem is if you don't click just right you click again and start to end up with multiple little boxes on the ends of the bluish line (which turns red). Is there a way to tell VS 10 to just "raise the audio output level" for the whole clip without goofing around with the lines and boxes?
Thanks,
M
Duplicate audio channel for VS 10, where is it?

When in audio view (the Loudspeaker button above the timeline, the third view, after Storyboard, and Timeline) on the top left you have the Attribute tab.
There you have a cross box for Duplicate Audio Channel and below it you select left or right for duplication. And next to it the lilltle box with 100 in it is the general level. If you change it to 200 or 50 you increase or lower the overall volume for the selected audio clip.
I don't remember if duplicate works on the video audio, but the volume setting does. If you have too many volume markers to your taste in the rubberband line, right-click and select reset audio. Everything will return to the default (fades and general volume unaffected).
