MF5 Add chapter question

Greetings all,

I am trying to add chapters to a 55 minute long clip - a concert video. My question is concerning the jog wheel. I am wanting to set exact points for chapters, but am running into a problem with the job wheel only advancing 15 frames at a time. I can't go forward/backwards by, say 5 frames or 7 frames. It only goes forward/backwards by 15 frames at a time. I checked the settings, help files and the board, but have found nothing pertaining to this. Any ideas? For your mpeg video source, chapters can only be placed on what is known as I-Frames. A common setting for NTSC is to have an I-Frame every ~15 frames. That is why it is moving 15 frames at a time -- it is going to the next/prev I-Frame.

Thanks for the info. You mention that this is done for mpeg - but what about avi files? Still the same? If so, guess I'll just have to chop it up into pieces - not a bad thing, just will take a little longer than I had wanted....
