Video Filters question

Post by Tippytoes »

Is it better to set video filters in the capturing phase or when editing?

I have some analog tapes that will need a bit of saturation.....as well as some that will have to be darkened a bit. Have used the filters both during capture and during editing......but not sure which is giving me the best quality.

Hoping someone out there has an answer.

Obviously, I am looking for the best quality.

Capturing Analog tapes in Microsoft AVI format......Using Ulead v. 9 for capturing and Ulead v. 7 for editing. Please don't tell me to use a different version for either as this is what I have and what I am using.

Appreciate this forum..............it really has been a great help.

I tend to capture as-is then make changes on the timeline. This gives me the option to changes parameters, if necessary.
