I have completed a simple slide show with music and burned it to my hard drive in a file folder. Verified it was there as an ISO image file. A program from Sonic RecordNow! was used to burn to disc. BUT it won't play on my DVD player (Sony).
What am I doing wrong? I created several projects a couple of years ago successfully, but have forgotten how. Thanks for any help!

Burning to DVD folders OK. Won't play in my DVD player
I burned it to my hard drive in a DVD folder by using the Ulead program CD & DVD PictureShow 3 (Burn tab). When I went to my hard drive to open it, I chose "Open With" and the Sonic RecordNow! program opened and I (thought) I burned it to the disc in my E drive. When I took the disc to my Sony DVD player to play the slideshow, I received the message that it could not play that disc.
Thanks for whatever help you can give me!

Burning to DVD folders OK. Won't open and play on DVD player
I see an icon the same as other DVDs made successfully several years ago, the title of the album, the words ISO Image file and 126,112 KB. I believe the project has been successfully burned to the hard disk. The problem is going from there to a successful burn to a disc which will play on a DVD player.

I didn't mean on your HDD, I meant on the DVD disk. What do you see there?jonnad wrote:I see an icon the same as other DVDs made successfully several years ago, the title of the album, the words ISO Image file and 126,112 KB. Burning to DVD folder OK.
I see the same thing on the disc itself as stated above. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Burning to DVD folder OK.
That's what I thought. Your DVD player cannot play an ISO image file. You need a burn program like Ulead MovieFactory to burn this image file to DVD. I have never used this approach and, hence, cannot really tell you how to go about it.jonnad wrote:I see the same thing on the disc itself as stated above. Thanks for your patience.
The burning program has to recompile the image to create the correct DVD structure.

Burning to DVD folders
In an act of desperation, I decided to burn it directly to the disk and not a DVD folder. The message I got was that it was too big to fit on the disk. I thought that's impossible, it's only 12 slides with music. So I clicked Continue anyway. And guess what? It successfully burned (took 10 minutes at 4x speed), and I have played it on my DVD Sony player. So if others are getting that message, maybe they should ignore it, too.
