I've tried running a search for this topic but did not come up with any direct hits. Is there a way to change the default file name when capturing video? I"m using VS9. In other words, when I use Capture Wiz I can name the file what I want and all the files created end up being the same, i.e. myvideo or myfile. When I capture directly from my camcorder the file is created with the what I guess is the default file name, i.e. uvs06730xxx.xxx. Is there a way to change this file name and where is that located?
Thanks for your help.

Capture file name
Yes that's true you can change the file name there but that only changes the name of the thumbnail. What about the .mpg file? Is there anyway to change that file name other than going in after the fact and renaming the file in explorer which only causes you to then have to relink the files. I know it's not a big deal it just makes it easier to deal with than having to remember which UVS file is which. If it could be done right from the capture stage as in capture wiz it would just tie things together a little more.
