vstudio.exe Application Error

Post by turbokman »

Video Studio 9 was starting to crash often so I uninstalled the program and reinstalled. Now I get a vstudio.exe - Application Error.
The instruction at "0x00899302" referenced memory at "0x1457b730". The memory could not be "read".

This was an upgrade from VideoStudio 4 to 5 then to 9. This worked before. I'm just missing something.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

VS9 returns error when program is started.

SUBJECT: vstudio.exe - Application Error

Nature of the problem:
I uninstalled VideoStudio 9 per the procecedure as pointed out in an earlier forum at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 4223#54223. I then had to reinstall VideoStudio5 so the upgrade to VideoStudio9 would see it. When starting VideoStudio 9 for the first time it would get to the registration page. I would select register later for I registered this copy last year. It then tries to start the program but shuts down and returns this message:
The instruction at "0x00899302" referenced memory at "0x1457b730". The memory could not be "read". The next time I try to start the program it comes up to the splash screen and I select Movie Wizard and it tries to start an gives me the sam error again.

Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?)
I downloaded the install file from element 5. It is an exe file with a file size that windows shows as 181,431 KB.

What devices are involved and their mode of connection?
I don't have anything connected yet for the program won't start.

Project Settings
N/A

Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD)
N/A

PAL or NTSC
NTSC (I was asked this on the install)

Error Codes (if any)
The instruction at "0x00899302" referenced memory at "0x1457b730". The memory could not be "read".

I would try to download this again but my link is no longer valid for it has been a year since I downloaded it the first time. I have no idea how to get a fresh copy, just in case my install file is corrupt.
