PI 10 crashing when selecting 1280x1024 size project

Hi,
I have PI 10 here and I'm trying to start a new project using the "new image" dialogue box.It totally crashes though when I choose the 1280x1024
standard image size.My card supports this size as well as my monitor.I'm using xp pro sp2.Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Close all other applications while running PhotoImpact. Other softwares can cause instability specially when you're working on large files.

You can also try reinstalling the software. Use the simple reinstallation procedure first. Then if if doesn't work, try the clean reinstallation.
