Hello All,
trying to record back to a Canon MV830i, WinXP, Firewire link etc etc.
When I go to Export , DV Recording everything is fine until I click NEXT and a popup says "Time formats of Clip and Camcorder are different".
Anyway it allows me to remotely control the camcorder to select my recording start point but..the 'Record' button is greyed out....I cannot press 'Record' to start recording !!!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaargh !
Everything else works fine (so far)
Oh yes, Video Studio ver 8
DV Record but no Record Button in Software

Hi Philosophico, and welcome to the forums..
A quick question:
What are the properties of the video clip you are trying to record back to your camcorder? They must be DV-AVI. If it is not, then VS will not allow you to record it back to tape. (pg # 149 of VS8 manual).

Am I stupid ?
Had a fiddle and "Created Video File" from the original as "DV PAL".
When I Exported this to camcorder everything worked ... EXCEPT, it has recorded the clip twice AND with no sound !?!?
The original clip, when rendered into DV PAL has been duplicated...any ideas why or why the sound has disappeared?
