The FTP site that htchien posted for getting the extra content for PI10 worked for me!
From experience I can tell you that the 3 folders (e, f and g) stand for the different languages the help files are in. English, French and German!
so.. you probably don't need to download all three folders.....
Can’t download objects to use through EasyPalette.

I tried the ftp site for PI 10, but it's asking me for a username and password. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help me? I'm very new to this.htchien wrote:I just found some files about PI6 in Ulead FTP site, maybe you can try it.
ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Goodies/pi6/
For PI 10, please check ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/ESD/pi10/
If you still cannot access the site, you will INDEED need to contact Ulead Tech Support.

http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd.htm is where you can finish downloading the rest of the files for the esd try before you buy version (TBYB). It took me a couple of days to find this but here it is. When I got an error message like not being able to connect, I just tried again right away. The full version comes with everything already but be sure and download the new patch which fixes some of the problems with the components and stuff.
Hope this helps. I've been using this program for a very long time and I love it. There are still some processes that Photo Shop handles better but all in all, a great product. Yes, there tech support needs some help, but believe me, it used to be worse. They have a great product but have their hands full trying to make it stable on all the different operation systems. I think they are suffering from growing pains, especially with this new release. They are finally coming into play with the big boys so it's a different game now. Especially when Bill keeps changing the rules. You have to give them credit, they’ve hung in there all these years and the programs keep getting better.
Like I said before, I hope the url helps.

The reason the smart downloads don't work anymore is because modern security protocol's have closed the port that it tries to access. So the whole thing was taken down and put up on the website under "download components" (it says it's for the TBYB version, but I don't know why, because it works fine, I think they just missed that during their site matenence)
I know Video Studio 9 has a working Smart Download so apparently they came up witha new system that will hopefully be in PI11 when it comes out.
