Cannot locate video filters

Post by ctscar190 »

I have been using video filters, example anti-shake, in Video Studio 10 Plus in previous editing but now find that I cannot open the menu box in the easy step options panel when I click on the attribute tab. I have checked the user guide and also the help section with the program, but with no success. Is this a fault, or is there an easy way to fix the problem.

With VideoStudio closed
Try renaming
C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\10.0
to C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\10.0x

(Replace Stephen with your user name)

Open VideoStudio and it will re-create that folder.
Does this fix it?

Cannot locate video filters

Thank you for your reply.
All the Ulead files are located under C:/Documents and Settings/User/My Documents/Ulead Video/10.0.
The files located under this are-
3Dvideo
Background Image
DMF-TEMP
Frame
Introduction Video
Music
Object
Sample Video
Sound
Theater Background
I am presuming that the video filters should have been in a file here. Is this correct? Do I rename the file to the name that you have given me or do I rename the file just by putting an x at end of the above name?

Thanks for your advice. I tried renaming the file as you advised, rebooted, but it did not work. Anything else I can try?

Unable to locate Video Filters

Post by ctscar190 »

I had to reinstall the Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus disk to retrieve the video filters. This may be a fault in Ulead Video Studio 10 as I cannot think of anything that I would have done for them to be missing.

CTScarl190, next time you lose your video filters ( as it has happened to me a few times ) just slide in your ulead Video Studio 10 plus installation CD
and click on "repair". It will re-install the mysteriously disappearing video filters.

Joe

Joe, thank you for your email. I am glad that someone else has experienced this problem. I did the same as you and hit the repair button and the elusive video filters reappeared. Perhaps Ulead should look at this.
