It would seem that I have burner problems and need to purchase others. Unfortunately, the compatibility list appears to not include any of the ones that I can find. One of my suppliers has two lists. The High-Quality list includes:
LG GSA-H20BLR SW, GSA 4167, GSA 4166B and GSA4166BH20L
Plextor PX755A/T3 and PX-750A/T3
The Standard list includes:
Asus DRW-1608P2S
LG GSA-H10NBB, GSA-H10NBR, GSA-H10NR
Liteon SHM-165P6S
NEC ND3550
Sony DW-Q120A
Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge of how any of these work with WS2, please? (positive or negative!) The only one on the compatibility list is the Asus. I would not buy the Sony, because it is Sony.

No experience with those models. I've been using Plextor CD burners for several years. I've had my Plextor DVD burner for about 2 years and works fine with Workshop and Movie Factory. But, it's single-layer. Whenever I get a dual-layer, I'll get a Plextor again.

Burners
I am into dvd burning for a few years already and had several models.
A year ago I bought the Nec 3540a and since then I don't want to here
about any other burner.
A month ago I bought the Nec 3550a and again I get perfect results.
From time to time I am making 50 or more copies of the same project and none of my clients return them saying they do not play on their set top players.
Both models are DL
BTW
I don't know and realy don't care if the Nec is on a comatability list.
They just work perfectly.

Recently my DVD burner Lite-On DVDRW SOHW-1653S developed a fault (a foreign object found its way inside) and so I had to go out a buy a new one. Went to a famous nationwide High Street Store. I bought the same make of DVD Burner and same specifications but the model number had changed Lite-On DVDRW SHW-160P6S.
First couple of disks I tried to burn failed. I checked the manufacturers website and lo and behold there was updated firmware for this brand new DVD writer. Updated the firmware and .... problem solved.
