Smart Compositor

Post by gurusam »

I have down loaded The MediaStudio Pro 8 Smart Compositor but the Smart Compositor is supposed to have 22 ready-to-use theme templates already installed, however I only have one template. Are the 22 templates free? How can I download more templates?
Thanks

You have only one in the trial version. The other 21 are installed when you purchase the full version and install the "extras" file.

I don't know the details, because I have the boxed version but, as I understand it, when you purchase the downloaded version, you receive an e-mail with a key to download another file which converts the original download (the trial version) to the full version.

When you purchase the download (ESD) version you are given 2 links in your email from 'Element 5'
Link 1 - The main program.
Link 2 - The extra content.

Both links have a limited time period to enable you to download these items after which the links will no longer work. You must therefore save the download files onto CD/DVD for future use should it be necessary to re-install.

Has there been any resolution to the sharing problem with these smart compositor files? I mentioned a month ago I would be glad to start cataloging and making these files available to all once we can get past the fact that the sharing only kinda works.

I have plenty of space now on my site and would be glad to put up as many smart compositor files as we can get to share among us all.

Let me know when you find out what's up with this. I still believe this could be the one feature that will allow us MSP editors a leg up on the so-called "big guys".

Other than that... a warm greetings from across the pond.

Bill,
I haven't heard a thing from Ulead. Perhaps they don't understand my explanation of the problem. The smart compositor would be THE item that places MSP8 on a pedestal above the rest.

It would also be fun for our forum members to be able to create and share these compositions with our other forum members.

I haven't chased up Ulead as I've been (and still am) a bit busy creating a rather large article on editing with VideoStudio. Perhaps when that is finished I will re-visit this problem and look at creating a workround.
