VS9 resampling options
When using stills (jpg) with pan & zoom plus customizing, as I resample the project the motion of the picture is not smooth. It stops and starts and even displays with a jerking motion. My video card has been upgraded and I've also lowered the time of each picture from 10 sec to 8. Is there something else I can do? When I first bought this program and made shows it worked fine. Help!

Hi Mahja, and welcome to the forums..
When you say resample do mean previewing the project? If so then it is not uncommon when playing or previewing in VS, for it to be jerky. It does not mean that is the way it will be on a DVD. Previewing is just an idea of what it may look like, the transistions, effects, cuts etc...
You can try setting the Playback in Preferences to High Quality. This way VS will render it before playing it back. If it is too long, then select a Preview Range. You do this by making sure you are in Project Mode, not clip mode, then drag the trim handles to trim out an area you want to preview. Then when you are finished previewing, just drag the trim handles back to the far left and right.

Hi Ron..
Thanx so much for the tip. Would you know if the Indeo XP codec pkg. would have made a difference when I first started using the program?
The reason I ask is, I vaguely remember having to download it originally and after my computer crashed and windows was reinstalled this jerking started happening on preview.
By the way, I did mean previewing the project.
I will change playback preferences and let you know what happens. Should I leave it as lower field first?
Thanx again
